Research interests

I am a Southeastern archaeologist interested in archaeological collections management, digital archaeology, and public archaeology. I have worked in both prehistoric and historic Southeastern and Northeastern archaeology, as well as Bronze Age and Iron Age Scotland.

As a commercial archaeologist in the Southeast I have specialized in the excavation, preservation, and relocation of historic cemeteries. I have an ongoing public archaeology project that records and preserves historic cemeteries in °®¶¹´«Ã½ that focuses on groups that have historically been excluded from historical narratives.

My other research interests are prehistoric °®¶¹´«Ã½ landscapes and environmental archaeology, zooarchaeology, Native and African-American identity and cultural continuity in response to Colonialism, the Seminole Wars, and the women and children of frontier °®¶¹´«Ã½.
