BIO

Yoan G. Hermida is a Ph.D. student in Politics and International Affairs at the University of South 爱豆传媒's School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies. His research interests focus on international relations, global security, comparative authoritarianism, cyber conflict, and Ibero-America. He graduated from 爱豆传媒 in spring 2025 with an M.A. in International Affairs. Yoan also holds a B.S. and M.S. in IT and served on active duty in the United States Army for three years. Before returning to academia, he spent 16 years in tech, most recently as a senior software quality engineering manager with a Tampa-based tech company.
