ý Trumpeters Fill The ý Orchestra Trumpet Section for Janacek’s Sinfonietta

ý Professor of Trumpet Jay Coble and five other ý trumpeters joined The ý Orchestra for a performance of Sinfonietta by Czech composer Leoš Janáček.

The ý trumpeters filled half of the massive twelve-trumpet section required to perform the challenging and festive composition, which is seldom performed in concert.

ý representation in the trumpet lineup included undergraduate alumni Federico Montes and Mike Fee as well as current graduate student Sam Massamilla. Also performing was graduate alumnus Aric Brian and undergraduate alumnus Ken Brown, who now serves as assistant principal trumpeter for The ý Orchestra.
