BIOGRAPHY:
Col.(R) Bill Carty served 26 years in the US Army starting in the Infantry and then in the Special Forces. Highlights of his assignments include Special Forces Company Commander in Iraq, Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan Chief of Staff, Special Operations Task Force Commander in Kandahar, Afghanistan and Commander of Special Operations Command Central (Forward)-Yemen. His final assignment in the Army was as the Deputy Commandant of the US Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, GA during the period in which Infantry assignments were opened to women.
He holds a BA in Political Science, a Master of Science of Management, a MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College and was a Senior Service College Fellow at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
Following Retirement from the Army, he earned a Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of °®¶¹´«Ã½. He is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business at Mercer University in Macon, GA. He also works with the Mercer University Center for Leadership, Ethics and Service and is the Program Coordinator for Mercer’s Undergraduate Certificate in Character Leadership.
