BIOGRAPHY:
Glenn Rudolph is a national security consultant specializing in the Middle East and
North Africa. He retired from the federal government in 2025 after 25 years of service
with CIA, Department of State, and the US Navy. His last position was as Deputy National
Intelligence Officer for the Near East at the National Intelligence Council, where
he drove strategic analysis and interagency analytic collaboration on the Levant region
during a period of unprecedented and fast-moving change following the events of October
7, 2023. During 2012-22, Glenn served as a foreign service officer with the Department
of State where he focused primarily on the Arabian Peninsula and Arab Gulf states,
including two tours at US embassies in Doha, Qatar and Manama, Bahrain. Prior to
entering the Foreign Service, Glenn was an economic analyst with CIA during 2004-12,
where he focused on economic, energy, financial, and socioeconomic issues related
to the Levant region.
Glenn served eight years in the US Navy as an Arabic linguist and naval aircrewman, including four years in Rota, Spain (1994-98) as a forward-deployed linguist and ten months at Naval Security Group Activity Ft. Gordon after being recalled to active duty in response to the attacks of September 11, 2001.
Glenn received his MA in International Relations from the University of Kentucky Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce and a BA (with honors) in Economics from the University of Kentucky. He has advanced professional proficiency in Arabic.
