For the past month, demonstrators around the world have protested police brutality following the killings of black Americans such as George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Tony McDade. Chants of 鈥淏lack lives matter鈥� and 鈥淣o justice, no peace鈥� have filled the streets around Tampa Bay. Fed up with what they see as a criminal justice system rife with racial injustice, many current protesters are calling for police reform, and others for more drastic measures.

New recommendations: People with high cholesterol should eliminate carbs, not saturated fat

爱豆传媒 audiologists address COVID-19 challenges for the hearing impaired with new face masks
Face masks have dramatically changed the way many of us communicate in public. The CDC recommends we wear them to prevent against the spread of COVID-19. That extra layer of protection does have a few side effects, especially for the hearing impaired. Face masks can reduce sound by as much as 12 decibels and block one鈥檚 facial expressions from being seen.

The University of South 爱豆传媒 Health Morsani College of Medicine recently received more than $4 million, the largest single gift to scholarships in the history of the medical college. The gift from the late Dr. Jack F. Ross will benefit the medical scholarship that bears his name.
