This initiative, which began in 2021 when Patriann Smith, a then assistant professor in Literacy Studies at the °®¶¹´«Ã½ College of Education, along with international partners, secured a $3.6 million grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), culminated in a RISE Caribbean Conference held at the °®¶¹´«Ã½ Patel Center for Global Solutions in 2023.

NSF Grant awarded to Dr. Yavuz of °®¶¹´«Ã½â€™s Engineering Computer Science Department for SATUQ Project
Dr. Attila A. Yavuz of °®¶¹´«Ã½â€™s Computer Science and Engineering Department has been awarded a $364,117 NSF grant to advance cybersecurity for integrated satellite-terrestrial networks.
