MKM Poetry Library
About
The Michael Kuperman Memorial Poetry Library was founded in honor of the late Michael Kuperman, a former MFA student at the University of South °®¶¹´«Ã½, who donated his beloved collection of poetry books to the Department of English. Located in Cooper Hall Room 301, the MKM Poetry Library is a dedicated space within the Department of English to help students and faculty from all three °®¶¹´«Ã½ campuses further their studies in poetry as well as provide community with poetry at its center. All members of the °®¶¹´«Ã½ academic community are welcome to use the robust and growing catalogue of poetry collections, literary magazines, chapbooks, and broadsides the library offers.
The MKM Library is co-sponsor of the Garry Fleming Poetry Series with the Humanities Institute. The Garry Fleming Poetry Series brings nationally award-winning poets to the University of South °®¶¹´«Ã½ for a poetry craft session with MFA creative writing graduate students and a public reading of their work. Invited poets have included: Ocean Vuong, Alison C. Rollins, Dana Levin, Ariana Benson, K. Iver, and Jake Skeets.
As a further collaboration with the Humanities Institute we also co-sponsor the Garry Fleming-Key West Literary Seminar Fellowship. You can learn more about this collaboration here.
