Scholarships
°®¶¹´«Ã½ will find a number of scholarship opportunities at °®¶¹´«Ã½ and within the School
of Information. Below we have provided a number of resources for students in all of
our programs to review to obtain scholarships. Please be aware that the School of
Information falls under the University of South °®¶¹´«Ã½, College of Arts and Sciences.
Library and Information Scholarships Graduate Scholarships
H. W. Wilson Scholarship: This scholarship is for students preparing to serve in any type of library. °®¶¹´«Ã½ in graduate degree and certificate programs are eligible to apply.
Blackwell/Perrault Scholarship: This scholarship is for students preparing to serve in academic library (especially collection development or acquisitions).
Johnie Key Thomson Scholarship: This scholarship is for degree seeking °®¶¹´«Ã½/LIS students who are preparing for library careers with youth services (including K-12 media). °®¶¹´«Ã½ in graduate degree and certificate programs are eligible to apply.
Patricia Andrew Cone Endowed Scholarship: This is a scholarship in memory of °®¶¹´«Ã½ alumna, Patricia Cone, who worked at as a school media specialist in Gulfport, °®¶¹´«Ã½. The scholarship is intended for non-traditional students who like Mrs. Cone attend graduate school later in life and have a commitment to serving children and young adults. Additionally, applicants must be graduate of a °®¶¹´«Ã½ public high school, a °®¶¹´«Ã½ public university, and a °®¶¹´«Ã½ resident.

Submit your application through the AwardSpring system.
The deadline for all semesters is JUNE 1.
Important: You will be unable to apply for scholarships unless you have been officially admitted to the program and have activated your °®¶¹´«Ã½ email.
