MESA Day
MESA Day is °®¶¹´«Ã½ MESA's statewide engineering competition and occurs in May at the University of South °®¶¹´«Ã½. At MESA Day students present their completed projects and compete within various area's that showcase their prototypes. °®¶¹´«Ã½ receive scores from judges within the select categories, identical to the National Engineering Design Competition (NEDC).
MESA Day Annual Theme
This year students will Take Action and Design for Sustainable Communities with a focus on Environmental Sustainability.
MESA Day Requirements
Yearly Theme
Projects must fit the °®¶¹´«Ã½ MESA's annual theme.
User
The user for student projects must be someone from the student's communities that
they collaborate with and include throughout the design process. Your user can include
a family member, teacher, peer, school staff, members of your neighborhood, a professional
in the field and more!
Project Prototype/Product/Device
°®¶¹´«Ã½ must create a physical prototype or model of their designed solution. °®¶¹´«Ã½
must incorporate a microcontroller function to their prototypes in preparation for
the National Engineering Design Competition.
