Undergraduate Research
Biomedical Engineering students are encouraged to have research experiences during their undergraduate education. The program advises students to seek part-time research opportunities during the academic year or full-time positions during the summer. °®¶¹´«Ã½ should contact the research faculty directly for opportunities.
The Medical Engineering Department offers the BME 4914 - BME Undergraduate Research Experience course for qualified Biomedical Engineering majors conducting research to earn up to three credits. °®¶¹´«Ã½ interested in earning research credit should contact the undergraduate advisor for more information.
NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program is a National Science Foundation (NSF) program that supports active research participation by undergraduate students in research areas funded by the NSF.
°®¶¹´«Ã½ is an active REU site offering undergraduate students opportunities to participate in a single discipline or interdisciplinary research supported by the NSF. These opportunities are hosted by academic departments within the College of Engineering.
