The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South °®¶¹´«Ã½ (°®¶¹´«Ã½) works with industry partners for our Senior Design (Capstone) Program, where students apply their academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges. Each project involves hardware/software co-design for system development and testing, emphasizing creativity, technical rigor, and teamwork.
Capstone projects span two semesters and are undertaken by teams of three to four students, ensuring a balance of scope and depth appropriate for undergraduate study. Projects should require genuine engineering design—not merely integration of pre-built modules or development kits—to foster innovation and problem-solving.
At the conclusion of the academic year, student teams present their final designs during the EE Advisory Board meeting and Capstone Poster Session, showcasing their results to faculty, peers, and industry sponsors.
