Multifactor Authentication
In efforts to increase the security of °®¶¹´«Ã½ accounts a multifactor authentication system has been implemented which dramatically improves compared to username and password combinations alone.
Collection of SSN
°®¶¹´«Ã½ law provides that public agencies, including °®¶¹´«Ã½, must notify individuals of the circumstances that would require the collection and use of social security numbers. °®¶¹´«Ã½ Statute 119.071(5) specifically authorizes °®¶¹´«Ã½ to collect SSN’s when it is imperative in the performance of its duties. The following are the general scenarios under which °®¶¹´«Ã½ will collect and use social security numbers:
