On Wednesday Oct 29th, the Sustainability Speaker Series featured Anthony Halcyon, a scientist for Hillsborough County who is dedicated to water security and the sustainable management of water. His presentation “Exploring Water Conservation and Natural Resource Securityâ€, examines the way various local municipalities manage water and the significance of water conservation on our daily life and community resilience.

Acting Dean, Dr. George Philippidis, joined global experts at the Annual Airports Going Green Conference to discuss the future of sustainable aviation fuel. PCGS students and alumni, including City of Tampa Sustainability Officer Kayla Caselli, also participated, showcasing the college’s leadership in advancing real-world sustainability solutions.

The MARS Project focuses on growing plants for food and human interface in controlled environments such as off-grid autonomous growing units on Earth, the International Space Station (ISS), and in Moon and Mars colonies. The MARS Project was conceptualized by Dr. Joseph W. Dorsey and conducted in conjunction with the University of East London (UEL).
