Amanda Whalen, M.A., senior data sciences product leader at Genentech, has nearly a decade of experience in clinical research. She has first-hand experience as a control subject after enrolling herself in various clinical trials run by UC, San Francisco, Stanford University, and VA Palo Alto Health Care System. She worked as a clinical operations associate at a CRO Imaging Core Lab in late phase studies. There, she led a team in clinical operations and was a certified trainer before transitioning to data management. For the last three years, Amanda has been working at Genentech on the sponsor side, both in early and late phase global trials. She is also committed to advancing clinical research education, serving as vice president of the Northern California Chapter (NCC) of the Association of Clinical Research Professional (ACRP). She has been an active board and leadership member since 2010. Amanda received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Paris, Sorbonne Nouvelle in France.
